Baltimore indie rock artist Snail Mail announces new album “Valentine”, shares title track – CBS Baltimore


BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Snail Mail, aka the indie rock band founded and directed by Maryland-born Lindsey Jordan, is back with their highly anticipated second album “Valentine,” which will be released November 5 on indie label Matador Records.

Jordan burst into the indie rock world in early 2017, while still a high school student in Ellicott City, with the single “Thinning”, praised by music site Pitchfork for its “luxurious” lo-fi dream sound. -pop.

She returned a year later with a debut album titled “Lush”, ultimately named one of the best releases of the year by Billboard, NPR, Entertainment Weekly and many more.

According to a statement, listeners can expect a lot of “romance, heartache, blood, sweat and tears” in the 10 tracks of “Valentine,” all written by Jordan between 2019-2020.

“I wanted to take as much time as possible with this record to make sure I was happy with every detail before I released it to all of you,” Jordan said in a statement. “To refer to the process as the deepest level of catharsis and therapy I have ever experienced would be a huge understatement. ‘Valentine’ is my child!

Snail Mail hits the road in November for a series of tour dates in the United States and Europe, until May 2022.
